Arriving at the spectacular Villa Sola Cabiati, an exclusive property of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, we can’t help but feel the history shrouded in the beauty of Lake Como. This unique space in incomparable!
Reaching the villa via water limousine is the ideal way to enjoy the sights of Lake Como. The sunshine glinting off the water, glistening like gold, is the perfect introduction to the incredible luxury of our trip back in time.
Welcome! Alberto Agnese, the Villa Manager, opens the iconic gates to usher us in. We immediately feel the magnificence of the space. Built in the 16th century, this regal masterpiece beckons us to come and play.
It’s time to play! Looking fly and surrounded in stuccoes and frescoes by famous artists, we can really feel the affluent yet playful joie-de-vivre of this vacation. Recently named GM of Grand Hotel Tremezzo, Silvio Vettorello is ready to soiree the night away with his friend Alberto.
How about a little music to accompany this party? As Napoleón said (and Silvio knows well), “Music is the voice that tells us that the human race is greater than it knows.”
Of course, the space invites quiet contemplation too. Renovated to its current Neoclassical appearance in the 18th century by the Dukes of Serbelloni, no expense was spared; every detail is exquisite.
Gorgeous opulent decor make these one-of-a-kind spaces such a joy to experience. We sip a demi-tasse with Silvio and admire the finer points of this gem of art and architecture. Sleeping 12, the villa is a perfect retreat for family and friends to get away from everything.
Our every wish is met by the staff, including a personal chef who creates regal magic worthy of gracing a royal’s plate and a delectable wine selection of the Villa’s private cellar.
In a place like this, it’s never quite time to go … one more laugh, one more cup, one more relaxed gaze at the grounds through the window. There are a million excuses to stay just a little longer.
One of the most breathtaking villas on Lake Como, the magnificent Italian garden stretches to the lake, boasting of a hidden heated pool, a private stone mooring and views for days.
Silvio can’t leave quite yet! And neither can we. One more cup? The garden grounds were designed with the express purpose of framing the scene. We’re going to enjoy it for a little while longer …and we’ll see you next time!
