Born of a Astor family’s stately tradition, afternoon tea is an exquisite culinary journeys and certainly a guest favorite. The Bloody Mary was introduced under the name “Red Snapper” at the St. Regis in 1934. Serge Obolensky, a guest with an aristocratic Russian background, asked the then bartender, Petiot, to make the savory vodka cocktail he had in Paris, and so, the Bloody Mary made its debut.
