Stepping onto the pristine grounds of The Shore Club Turks & Caicos, a proud Virtuoso partner since opening in 2017, Naji Esta, General Manager, warmly receives us. We sit down to chat about The Shore Club Turks & Caicos and its impressive achievements. One of Naji’s superpowers is his cool, calm demeanor and his ability to work under pressure. Clad in white and gray, his attire perfectly complements the serenity of the place and his grounded attitude. What a great way to start our visit!
Look who comes around the corner in our stunning Estate Villa here at The Shore Club! It’s Kerry Hendrickson – Executive Assistant Manager. Looking stunning in his navy blue blazer and dark gray slacks, we get what Kerry means when he says “reception is an art.”
“What I like most about Hospitality is the ability to create lasting impact for guests seeking great memories on vacation.” And this is a man who knows about making memories! What are a few of Kerry’s favorite hobbies? Tennis, snorkeling, hiking, exploring…he knows how to have an adventure!
Kerry walks us through some of his favorite spaces, and it’s clear why The Shore Club Turks & Caicos has won so many awards, including Most Instagrammable Hotel in 2021 AND in 2022 (the only hotel in the world to have won twice!). The textures, tones, and decor are all so intentional; it’s truly divine.
Speaking of award-winning, it’s not just the place that’s prize-worthy, but the people as well. When it’s time to stop by our room, we meet the dream team Shella Joseph and Miss Employee of the Month herself, Coralie St Jean. Coralie, the team leader in charge of linen room operations. They ensure our room not only meets but exceeds expectations.
Walking around the gorgeous grounds with our newly-found friends, we can’t stop thinking, no wonder The Shore Club Turks & Caicos has won so many recent awards: Travel & Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels in the World AND Leading Turks & Caicos Resort 2023 and 2024, Conde Nast Traveler Top 15 Resorts in the Atlantic Islands, Elite Traveler’s Top 50 Beach Hotel Suites in the World, USA Today’s Top 10 Hotels in the Caribbean, and so many more. But then, we also find ourselves wondering with a reputation like that, who’s hungry? We’re ready to savor the flavors of The Shore Club Turks & Caicos!
Greeted by Shana Kay Anderson, Assistant Restaurant Manager at Almond Tree restaurant, looking elegant in black. Shana tells us, “Our cuisine allows for the exploration of diverse flavors, techniques, and cultures, transforming simple ingredients into extraordinary dishes that evoke emotion and foster connection.” We are hypnotized by Shana’s philosophy, and can’t wait to taste the artistry she’s talking about.
The Shore Club offers a variety of culinary adventures and atmospheres in its four restaurants and five bars. We couldn’t decide which to try first!
As we wait for our food we have the delicious pleasure to meet the artists behind the culinary magic themselves. Raheem Junkeer, award-winning Executive Chef, excitedly shares, “The Shore Club has given me the creative freedom to curate menus with unique and diverse dishes.”
Dalundra Laurencia Fulford, Pastry Chef, adds, “I was drawn to the culinary field because of its artistic nature. I enjoy working with my hands to create flavorful desserts and dynamic presentations that provide instant gratification to guests.” We just have one word: Yum.
SUI-REN cuisine is the first of its kind in Turks and Caicos, serving the freshest and most unique ceviche on the island with a Japanese and Peruvian inspired fusion menu. Our mouths were watering just reading the menu.
Time to top it off with top-notch mixology with Everette Bradley Roberts Jr. It’s not just the ingredients but who mixes and serves them; every drink by Everette tasted like magic beyond paradise.
Always sad to leave, we know we will see these shores, plus Naji and his fantastic team, again soon!
