Brand new to the posh San Miguel restaurant scene, Mi Casa Su Casa Bistro is the latest from the epic Dos Suecos (Two Swedes). After incredible success at Tapas restaurant and with their private catering business, they opened the classic bistro style restaurant with a Swedish twist. High ceilings with gorgeous wooden rafters, and cozy warm tones decorated in vintage style make the ambiance ideal for sipping on cocktails and listening to intimate live concerts.

For creating exceptional flavor combinations with the most select ingredients, the Dos Suecos also achieve a surprising level of comfort in their specialty dishes, making you feel like you’re eating from your mama’s kitchen …if your mother was a gourmet chef and part Swedish, of course. Whet the appetite with a roasted tomato soup with pesto glaze, delight in an entrée of scallops over cauliflower puree with fried leeks, and truffle oil, or indulge in a decadent dish of frutti de mar, such as clams, shrimp and octopus, fried in garlic and mescal.

Unique twists on Swedish dishes, like a combination of root vegetables and fish – beets, buttery potatoes and capers make a bed for a Mahi filet drizzled in parsley oil are designed to inspire the taste buds. For dessert, salty meets sweet in a caramel fudge covered brownie with salted peanuts, the perfect combination to round off the meal.

Meanwhile the stage is alive with the music of the world-renowned musician Gil Gutiérrez paired with one of the hottest musical acts in San Miguel de Allende, the Rabbeats. Gil Gutiérrez is a virtuoso Mexican guitarist and composer, who has played in such venues as Carnegie Hall in New York and with symphony orchestras in the United States.

After an experience like this, we can’t wait to go back. The bistro gives classic a whole new meaning!
