What does hospitality mean to you? The fabulous folks at The Art of Hospitality believe that it’s more than just anticipating and attending to a guests needs; it’s actually about making the world a smaller, sweeter place, and about moments that surpass expectation in their ease and comfort.

Seen here with Jim Carter, Managing Director of the Eastern Sales Division of American Airlines, partners and co-founders Donna McGovern and Suzanne Goldberg share a laugh. Collaboration is so much more than work, it’s an opportunity to connect with the special people that they believe make the travel industry shine.

Stepping off the plane, these two stunners certainly know the lay of the land. From American Airline’s Flagship Lounge at JFK Airport, designed to pamper 1st class international and transcontinental passengers, to the familiar faces that make these extraordinary amenities so delightful. “American Airlines has been a partner of ours from the beginning, and together we have been hosting imaginative and heartfelt events,” Donna says with a smile.

What are your biggest hassles while traveling? A private entrance, personalized attention in a relaxed atmosphere, a seamless and simple ‘check-in’ – these are just a few ways American Airlines is redefining the travel experience.  No stress, just welcoming faces, streamlined services in a laid-back setting. You can imagine why we’re fans!

Founding ladies, Suzanne and Donna, come from two diverse backgrounds – one a hotelier and the other a buyer, their unique knowledge and experience adds up to one incredible team. Hands-on from beginning to end, these two excel at making long-term relationships with their affiliates and clients. Happy patrons keep coming back for more!

It makes sense! The Art of Hospitality’s core foundation is its people.  TAOH is a curated collection of independently spirited properties catering to the luxury business and leisure traveler.  There is no detail too small when selecting the properties they endorse. And, at the core of this vetting process, stands the impeccable staff, managers and organizers who make the magic a reality.

“The ‘travel business’ IS our family, and we feel blessed to be a part of it!” Suzanne gushes. “We are our happiest when meeting, celebrating and bringing people together.  Isn’t that what hospitality is after all?  Bring people together, making the world a smaller, gentler place.”

Standing outside of the legendary Knickerbocker Hotel, Suzanne inhales the scent of her freshly-cut flowers. Located in the center of Manhattan Island, the classic local was once considered the Country Club of New York City. Known for its grand, turn-of-the-century exterior and sleek, modern interior, this hotel oozes warmth and elegance.

Perched high on the 17th floor, where the sparkling city lights of Broadway meets the tranquility of Bryant Park, the Knick’s rooftop lounge is the perfect place to call it a day. Suzanne and Donna stroll out into the world, determined to make their and others’ travel extraordinary.
